At an Ordinary Meeting of Central Goldfields Shire Council last night (26/06), Council confirmed the successful recipients of the 2017/2018 Community Grants Program.
In April this year, community groups and organisations were invited to apply for funding with $20,000 to be distributed to successful applicants.
20 applications were received with each assessed against an assessment criteria with 13 successful projects:
Central Goldfields Shire Chief Administrator Noel Harvey said the Community Grants Program had been well received.
“There’s no doubt the grant program is a valuable source of funding for many local community groups who may otherwise struggle to access funding from other sources.
“The aim of the Community Grants Program is to provide an opportunity for not for profit local community groups to access funding to assist with the valuable work they provide to our community.”
