Works to upgrade an 800 metre section of the Carisbrook Baringhup Road, located just out of Carisbrook, are now complete.
Central Goldfields Administrator Noel Harvey said it was great to see this much-needed road project complete.
“The Carisbrook-Baringhup Road was in desperate need of repair, the bitumen was falling apart and it had become unsafe for motorists.
“Thanks to a contribution by the Federal Government we have been able to upgrade the drainage, stabilise the pavement, lift the road profile and reseal this section of road to ensure the safety of those who use it.”
“Full credit to the Central Goldfields Shire Works team for delivering the project.”
The $250,000 upgrade project was jointly funded between Central Goldfields Shire and the Federal Governments ‘Roads to Recovery’ (RTR) Program.
