The 2017-2018 Central Goldfields Shire Council Annual Report was formally received by Council at its Ordinary Meeting earlier this week (23/10).
Prepared in accordance with the Local Government Act 1989 the Annual Report provides a detailed overview of Council’s services, performance, governance and finances for the 2017-2018 financial year.
Central Goldfields Shire Chief Administrator Noel Harvey said the Annual Report highlighted the many achievements of the organisation even though there were periods of uncertainty and change.
“Despite these challenges the organisation should be commended for continuing to provide key essential services and deliver capital works to a consistently high standard for the benefit of our local community.
“The report breaks down Council’s performance against the strategic themes of the Council Plan – including achievements and challenges and also provides a detailed overview of Council’s finances,- which has been independently audited by the Victorian Auditor-General’s Office.
