With exactly two weeks to go until the 2018 Energy Breakthrough, there is still time left to put up your hand and volunteer.
Volunteer support is critical to the success of the Central Goldfields Shire’s biggest event and there are still many ways community members can help out.
Volunteer roles include, but are not limited to, marshalling, judging, masseurs, administration, entertainment, Wi-Fi support, social media, carparking, stage support, logistics and general event support.
There are also opportunities for community groups to contribute to the success of the four-day event.
Central Goldfields Shire Administrator Hugh Delahunty said that volunteering is a great way to support the local community and the Energy Breakthrough.
“Volunteering is a fantastic way to instil a sense of pride in your community and you can play a fundamental role in Central Goldfields Shire’s biggest event.
“The community can be proud we are able to host a fantastic event such as the Energy Breakthrough.
“The strength of our volunteer support is crucial to the future success of the annual event.”
The Energy Breakthrough is a joint initiative between Central Goldfields Shire Council and the Country Education Project.
It is also made possible thanks to the State Government, VicRoads, La Trobe University, Central Highlands Water, True Foods and the Country Education Partnership.
