Central Goldfields Shire Council is inviting residents to have their say on two significant draft plans:
Central Goldfields Shire has developed a draft four-year plan to improve health and wellbeing in the municipality and wants the community to provide input.
The Central Goldfields Shire draft Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2017-2021 is a strategic approach to local public health planning and aims to protect and improve the public health and wellbeing of the Central Goldfields Shire community.
The Plan will set out how Council will work towards achieving maximum health and wellbeing for the municipality over the next four years.
Central Goldfields Shire residents are invited to have their say on the Draft Domestic Animal Management Plan.
The draft Domestic Animal Management Plan has been prepared to guide Central Goldfields Shire Council’s management of domestic animals for the period 2017 to 2021.
The plan ensures that Council meets its obligations under the Domestic Animals Act 1994.
It provides a strategic guide for the community towards the goal of responsible pet ownership and to assist Council achieve a professional, consistent and proactive approach to domestic animal management.
Council will also consult with key stakeholders including vets and domestic animal businesses to ensure compliance with the Plan.
Both draft Plans will be open for community feedback until Wednesday 20 December.
