Residents will have the chance to share their thoughts and ideas for the future of the Central Goldfields Shire community, as part of a new community consultation program adopted at an Ordinary Meeting of Council last night (27/02).
The feedback will inform a refresh of the Council Plan and other future strategic planning work.
The Council Plan already includes a diverse range of strategic objectives that were formulated as a result of a robust consultation program held early last year. The refresh will build further on this.
Residents will be asked to tell us: What they love about the Shire, what they imagine for the future of the Shire and what specific results they would like to see.
A postcard will be made available at all townships across the Shire with feedback boxes for residents to return their postcards to us.
Central Goldfields Shire Chief Administrator Noel Harvey said the Have Your Say campaign was an open invitation for the community to join the discussion and share their ideas with us.
“The campaign provides residents of all ages with a quick and easy platform to provide feedback, no matter what their age or location.
“Your thoughts and ideas will help us build a road map that will guide this Council as we update the Council Plan and develop an extensive amount of strategic planning work over the next three years.
“I encourage all residents to join the discussion by taking a few minutes to complete a postcard and returning it to us.”
The Have your Say campaign will run for four weeks during April. Feedback will be made available to the community in May/June.
More information to come.
