Central Goldfields Shire Council endorsed its 2018-2019 Draft Budget at a Special Budget Meeting last Tuesday and is now on public display for community feedback.
I am pleased to announce there are many highlights in this Draft Budget and we will continue to deliver all of the fantastic services council provides with no cuts listed. Some of the projects listed in the Draft Budget include:
The 2018-2019 Draft Budget can be viewed online at www.centralgoldfields.com.au and at the following locations during normal business hours: Shire Office, 48 Nolan St, Maryborough; Carisbrook Post Office; Dunolly Rural Transaction Centre; Dunolly Post Office; Bealiba Post Office; and the Talbot Post Office.
Two Drop-in Budget Information Sessions will also be held on Tuesday 29 May – 12noon at the Maryborough Resource Centre and the Community Hub at 7pm.
Written submissions are required by Friday 15 June. I urge community members to take the time to view the documents and provide feedback.
Lastly a reminder to all residents, the next Ordinary Meeting of Council is on tonight, Tuesday 22 May at the Community Hub, with public question time from 5.30pm. I encourage you to attend if you can.
