Our shire is well serviced with up to date library facilities, with the latest in traditional library services as well as the latest innovations in information technology.

Library services in Maryborough and Dunolly are provided by Central Goldfields Shire (affliated with Central Highlands Libraries). 

Membership of the libraries is FREE. There are no age limits, and the only requirement to join at either branch is filling out an application card and providing some personal identification.

Maryborough Library

The Maryborough Library is located within the Maryborough Resource Centre, on the corner of Nolan and Alma Streets, Maryborough.

The Maryborough Library offers:

Pre-school Story Time - Wednesdays and Fridays at 11am 

Baby Rhyme Time - Thursdays at 11am 

Toddler Story Time - Tuesdays at 11am 

The library holds genealogical records including Births, Deaths and Marriages,as well as back copies of the Maryborough District Advertiser and the Talbot Leader on microfilm.

Dunolly Library

Temporarily located at the St Johns Hall, Barkly Street, Dunolly

Opening hours: Every Tuesday 10am to 1pm and Thursdays 1.30 to 4.30pm (excluding public holidays

Talbot Outreach Service

The Talbot Outreach Service operates from the Talbot Community Library in Camp Street. It can be accessed Tuesday 2pm – 4 pm & Saturday 10am-12noon.
