Central Goldfields Shire is committed to the development of a workforce that meets the needs of our local businesses and provides opportunities for all members of our community. The Go Goldfields Alliance supports the shire wide Workforce Development Plan to help better coordinate the efforts and strategies of our local education providers, services and businesses for this purpose.
A Workforce Development Action Group comprising of local business leaders and community members, as well as representation from Council and the Central Goldfields Business Group, have joined to progress this work with a strong focus on work readiness and economic participation. The Go Goldfields Alliance has appointed a facilitator to assist this group and to coordinate this work with other community and Go Goldfields initiatives.
The Central Goldfields Business Group provides representation and support to local businesses and employers. They are significant partners in our work and form part of our Steering Committee. Further information regarding the group and information on becoming a member can be found on the website.
