Maryborough Aerodrome is located 2.8 km northwest of Maryborough. It is about 2 hours northwest of Melbourne by road and is home to Central Victorian Aviation Services and WT Rootes Pty Ltd.
The Old Aviators Flying Museum is located here too. It focuses on the classic era of Aviation -1910 to 1950. The museum specializses in deHavilland aircraft and all exhibits are flying examples or will fly one day following restoration. The museum includes a unique collection of memorabilia including WW1 and WW2-some of which you will see nowhere else in Australia. The team of professionals and volunteers maintains, restores and flies the machines on display.
The aerodrome is also home the the annual Wings and Wheels event, held on the second weekend in September.
